Reaching the top step of the UCI Downhill World Cup circuit is no mean feat. Staying there? Even harder. But for one of the world’s fastest downhill MTB racers, Marine Cabirou, injury and setback are all just part of the sport—one that’s worth pursuing in order to unlock her full potential.

Growing up riding the epic natural terrain of her hometown Millau in Southern France, Marine spent her childhood chasing her older brother Rudy around on bikes and being closely connected to her family and friends. Her inner daredevil, natural drive and unwavering support system have all contributed to Marine’s success and she’s acutely aware of her capabilities on the racetrack.

Now navigating the struggle of recovering from multiple broken vertebrae alongside the ebb and flow of injury and success, she finds solace in the support of her community. Marine is at peace with the risk of the sport and her passion for downhill is always the motivation to come back stronger and faster, knowing that ultimately, she has what it takes to put down a great run when it counts. Mountain biking is everything for Marine, and her determination, discipline, family, and friends are all holding the ladder as she climbs back to the top. Flowing through the hillsides, ripping the trails with her brother, recovering and coming back, this is the story of Marine Cabirou. This is Home.
