CASE STUDY: SHIMANO XTR 360° experience
When Shimano launched their new top of the line mountain bike group they asked Anthill to create a video concept that captured both the wide range of options and the cutting the edge technology offered by XTR. Working with our partners at Immersive Media, we created an interactive 360° video experience where the audience could seamlessly change between five different camera perspectives simultaneously. The result was a total unique experience in mountain biking and action sports.

In additional to producing, shooting and editing the videos for the project, Anthill acted as the overall project manager, working with multiple partners to design the website, develop the user experience and create the motion graphics.
Photographer Sterling Lorence was a key part of the crew and captured imagery from the shoot that was incorporated into the XTR advertising campaign and website.
VIRTUAL REALITY EXPERIENCE
Using Oculus Rift’s virtual reality goggles, the 360 experience was expanded from the web to live interactions at events. A sign of things to come, this project was one of the first virtual reality experiences to be created specifically for action sports.
