The trails of the Whistler Bike Park have seen their fair share of screen time over the years, from segments in our past films to your next-door-neighbour's POV edit. So, when it came time to filming the bike park segment for unReal, we knew we had to do something different.
Every so often, an event happens in nature that is so profound, it belies the very foundation of reality. This is the stuff of legends and lore, a rare phenomenon that may only happen once in a lifetime. In order to witness such an event, we must suspend our judgement of what we think we know. We must let go, look to the sky, and believe.

ARRIVAL has arrived. On Thursday, November 28th starting at 12:00pm/noon PST (9:00pm CET) SecondBase Films will broadcast the online premiere of their new short film ARRIVAL to the world. This will be a FREE premiere event, where the film will be available to watch for a limited time.

I find it amazing how much downhill racing has progressed and flourished over the past 10 years - especially in the women's field. What used to be a male-driven sport, is now enjoyed by a variety of people across the board. Womens' riding has developed into a hardworking, inspirational group of girls who are constantly progressing at an alarming rate. I have been inspired by this progress. Like a die-hard surfers living close to the beach, passion-driven riders are building a community around the world famous Whistler Mountain Bike Park. This dream requires sacrifice. But no sacrifice is too big for the committed. In the greater mountain bike community we hold these people up as purists. They are the ones we think of when we feel trapped in our own routines. They are the ones that help keep our dreams alive.
